The first phase of a US-brokered peace agreement for Gaza is giving rare cause for celebration after more than two years of fighting and tens of thousands of deaths. A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas appears to be holding, and a major hostage and prisoner exchange has largely gone ahead without a hitch. World leaders must now attempt to turn the days-old truce into something far more robust.
