「古人に学ぶさいには」
書物をよんで聖賢の教えに親しむには、まず
気持を清浄にしてかからなければならない。
さもないと、せっかく古人の立派な行動や
教えに触れても、私利を追及する参考に
したり、欠点をとりつくろう口実にしたりする
のが落ちだ。
これでは敵に武器を貸し、盗人に食糧を与え
るのと、少しも変わりがない。
●せっかく学んでも、使い方を誤るとわが身を
あやめる凶器になるのだという。
